Scott
started his career at
Ipswich Town at just aged 10
years old; he spent the rest
of his school life there
until the age of 16, where
he was offered a 3 year
scholarship with the club.
During this season he also
won the premier league U17
championship. Although only
at 16 he played over half
the games that season and
played with players such as
Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose
and Ian Westlake.
During his scholarship
Scott worked with 2
excellent goalkeeper
coaches, Firstly Malcolm
Webster who is regarded as
one of the counties best
goalkeeper coaches, he
taught Scott from the moment
he joined the club and
really helped with his
decision to go into
coaching. The other was
James Holman. James again is
a highly regarded coach and
after coaching the academy
and youth team goalkeepers
went on to coach at Norwich
City for 7 years coaching
the 1st
team goalkeepers.
After Scott’s 3 years
scholarship he had played
around 100 youth team games
as well as several reserve
team games also. However he
was not offered an extension
on his contract and this
made him turn to coaching.
Straight after his release
from the club he was offered
the chance of coaching the
academy goalkeepers at the
club. This job started in
2004 and he still does this
job today working along side
1st team coach,
as well as coaching the
Elite and development
goalkeepers at the club. He
also coaches the SETEC
Goalkeepers at Woodbridge
Town as well as working at
Holywells High School with
the P.E. department.
Karl Daniels
Head Coach
Karl played for Ipswich
Town F.C Academy for 5 years
as a Schoolboy, He then
joined Rushden & Diamonds
F.C on a full time contract
for 3 years, within this
time Karl played for Wales
U17 & U19 on numerous
occasions playing in the U17
& U19 European
Championships. Since leaving
Rushden Karl has decided to
to take the route of
goalkeeper coaching to help
pass on the knowledge he has
having worked with top
Goalkeeper coaches such as
Malcolm Webster, James
Hollman, Stuart Naylor, Mike
Salmon and Neville Southall.
Gary Rose
Goalkeeper Coach
Gary has made his way up
the ladder in local football
playing at clubs such
Framlingham, leiston Town
and whitton utd. He spent
many years working with
former ipswich Town
goalkeeper coaches Malcolm
Webster and James Hollman.
whilst working with these
Sharky picked up alot of
great ideas which he has
developed along with his own
to form the basis of his
coaching today. Gary has
been with us over 2 years
and has progressed from an
assistant to lead coach
during this time.
Floyd
Croll
Goalkeeper Coach
Floyd started his career
with Ipswich Town before
moving up north to join
Wigan Athletic, during his 3
years there Floyd will
probably be most remembered
for his goal against
Manchester United's Tim
Howard where he scored from
a Drop Kick. Check it out in
our Gallery Section. Floyd
then returned to Suffolk
where he has played for
Great Conard and Wivenhoe.
joining his career Floyd has
worked alongside coaches
such as Malcolm Webster,
Gary Walsh and Nigel Spink.
Floyd is a very enthusiastic
coach with plenty of new
ideas.
Darren Jolly
Goalkeeper Coach
Darren has now reached
vetran status having played
for Hadleigh and Stowmarket
in the Ridgons league, as
well as Stowupland, Debenham
and Hoxne in the S I L
league. He is
currently playing for Occold
in Div 1 of the south
Norfolk sunday league having
finished his 19th
consecative season.
Darren has also coached
youth football now for many
years as manager and
goalkeeping coach
Wendy Bean
Administration
Wendy
has recently taken over the
responsibilities of all the
admin involved with
#1goalkeeping. She is the
main point of call for
all e-mails to us, and is
the friendly very helpful
voice that you hear if you
phone us. Wendy is also in
charge of all advertising
for us.
Carl Pearson
Goalkeeper Coach
Carl has played for clubs such as
Mildenhall in the Ridgons league and
Haughley in the SIL. He is an up and
coming coach and has a good
knowledge and experience of
goalkeeper coaching.
Christian Burrup
Goalkeeper
Coach
Christian first started his
career at Wimbledon F.C. where he
spent over 2 years working alongside
goalkeepers such as paul Heald
and Neil sullivan. He Then spent a
brief time in Seville where he
played regularly, and saw
goalkeepers such as Toni Doblas in
action and learnt alot from this
different approach to goalkeeping.
He then moved back to England where
he settled in ipswich, when an
injury ruined his professional
career. He currently plays for
coplestonians in the SIL premier
league, and has been coaching with
#1goalkeeping for over a year where
he uses his experience to help our
young goalkeepers.
Malcolm Brown
Course Co-ordinator
Malcolm was been involved with
running goalkeeping courses in
Suffolk for the last 13 years. He
began working with Malcolm Webster
when he first came to Ipswich and
then went on to help James Hollman.
We are very lucky to have Malcolm's
Experience and knowledge of local
goalkeeping. Malcolm's role also
means he is the face a lot of you
see at are courses to meet and greet
and let you know what's going
on. Malcolm is also qualified in
first aid at level 2 which brings
yet another string to his bow.
Adam Molloson
Goalkeeper Coach
Adam is currently head of P.E. at
Holywells high school in Ipswich.
Having previously Moved from
Nottingham. As a youth player Adam
represented South Derbyshire and
signed for Nottingham Forest (the
days of Brian Clough) and
then played a semi-pro in the Dr.
martins league. Adams coaching
experience started at Burton Albion,
before becoming involved with Derby
County at their new purpose built
academy. Three years then followed
coaching at Nottingham Forest
alongside highly regarded
goalkeeping coach Andy Beesley.
A family move to Suffolk in 2004
ended ties with Forest but Adam soon
took over the managers role at
suffolk county schools and Ipswich
and district teams. Since last year
Adam has become involved with #1
Goalkeeping, enjoying seeing the
development of young goalkeepers of
all ages and abilities,
Aaron Reid
Goalkeeper Coach
Aaron
works for Colchester united
community sports trust as a
coach. Aaron has a football
level 2 certificate. Aaron
has played for Hallstead
town and Wivenhoe town.
Aaron is currently playing
for Framingham town. Aaron
went to the Colne football
academy where he was trained
by several coaches such as
Micky Cook Colchester united
record appearance holder and
former youth team manager
Steve Wade
Goalkeeper Coach
Steve
had a very impressive
playing career having played
for Ipswich Town F.C
reserves on a number of
occasions over a 3 year
period, he also represented
Suffolk at junior and senior
level. Steve also played for
clubs such as Southend,
Sudbury and Stowmarket. When
Steves playing career came
to an end he concentrated on
goalkeeper coaching, working
with goalkeepers at grass
roots level. He was also
goalkeeper coach for
Stowmarket Town F.C.
